Double Coverage

So I assume most of us know that "Best" receiver was the guy with the highest RR in 7 and that also you could hide him in the slot to avoid the doubleteam.

Is there any confirmation on what the logic is in 7. Is it based on RR or Overall? Can it apply to a slot receiver? Thanks!

I have the same question.

Any news?

The overall lack of information provided is really annoying, and then a lot of times the information provided is just not correct.. this game should have been bundled with Excel, Excel for Dummies and a calculator.

I'm also curious if anyone knows if "double best" can apply to TE's if a team were to have a high caliber receiving tight end who is better than any WR's

You can double cover TEs now if they have the highest RR Bar, or the 2nd best (Double best, or double 2nd best)

Future RR seems to be the key variable.

It's a bit disappointing if it's just a matter of route running. For example I'm playing someone in an MP league this week whose best WR only has 45 RR but is very well polished in all other aspects of his game. Through 3 weeks this WR is being targeted twice as much as any other receiver but his other 2 receivers and TE all have slightly better RR skills.

So by the logic that double teams are only tied to the RR stat it would be impossible for me to get double coverage on the WR getting the most target volume. Unless as a result of my scouting error this receiver actually does have the best or 2nd best RR rating on his time which seems plausible

It's still useful to know though

Your opponent likely has that roster by design. Now you knOw not to fall for tHat trick.

If you know where he does normally align, you can try to se5 your best CB in that spot.

I don't know why I didn't think of that. Not that it really matters for me lol. I just inherited this team though and all the corners are trash.
