I'm With Stupid 38 Results
Ok, here are the much awaited results...
We had a solid 31 participants this time around, and here's how the questions went down... For my first question, I went with Baseball, my favorite sport, and tried to come up with the closest, most difficult to predict race this year. It seems as if you guys have already narrowed it down to two…the Cards and Cubs. Although I’m proud to report that at least one of you thinks that my Giants are good enough to win the NL Central :) 1) Who will win the NL Central?
RonnieDobbs’ first question was a doozy, and I’m glad I didn’t have to guess. In a wide open field, this was more of a runaway than I thought it would be. 2) NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year
RonnieDobbs’ second question, and my personal favorite, turned out to be a dead heat…it seems that you were all thinking oldies are goodies! 3) Nicholson’s Best Movie
My second question, and it turns out that this could have been the deal breaker for those in first place. The un-cola put up a better fight than I thought it would, but it was a lowly fourth place finish. 4) Best Soft Drink Excluding Coke/Pepsi?
RonnieDobbs’ last question, and there was some serious dogfighting. Oakland, Boston, Chicago, Montreal and Los Angeles were all separated by only one vote. Too bad that Philadelphia ran away with this one ridiculously. 5) Worst Sports Fans?
My last question, which I thought was a good one, featured such heavy hitters as Al Capone, Jack the Ripper, and even Jesus Christ. But in the end, not even Abraham Lincoln could stand up to Adolf Hitler’s dominance. 6) Notorious Historical Figure?
And the winner is…Hammer755 and cuervo72! Both managed a solid 100%. Congrats guys, and I look forward to the next contest! I'm going to edit this message (for formatting) and post the results in a little bit. |
Yeeeeahhhh....back in the saddle.
|
Never occured to me to submit Mountain Dew.
|
I am seriously horrible at this game.
Stupid, indeed! |
Waiting for the next one!

Hammer has let me he's pretty busy today, so it looks like I'll be posting #39 (open to questions from Hammer if he has some though), probably around lunch time. |
Sorry guys, more issues. I'll post the results now. Give me a minute or three.
|
And there you have it...hopefully readable. Edits are just to fix formatting. If anyone sees any errors with my calculations (entirely possible), feel free to let me know! EDIT: Anyone know how to change the size using the (pre)(font face="courier") tags? I used to just go (font face="courier" size=1) and it worked fine, but now it wont recognize that or the {size=1} tags inside or outside of the pre and font tags. Sub < and > for ( and ), and [ and ] for { and }. |
When you take things into consideration, MIJB#19's consistency is really pretty impressive. :)

Dadgummit! Missed on the first question, but...just...barely. Still no cigar, though.

Ok....howabout Code Red :D sterlingice....there's always IWS 39. And if history repeats, you'll be the winner. |
I'm adapting! I actually finished in the middle of the pack this time ! :D ;)
|
MIJB has a reason. He doesn't live in the US so lots of times he has to research all of his questions.
For me, I'm just a retard. |

I missed Suggs as I decided to go for the highest drafted DE, even though my 'gut feeling' said Suggs. And then there was this baseball question... For the bad fans question, all I could thing of was the reputation of the Raiders and maybe the Lakers fans. Shorty, are you sure you're American?;) |
