What is the world coming to?

33,000+ attended the Expos game in Montreal. I never thought I would see the day when they would start bringing the fans back to the stadium.

Are you sure that wasnt the emergency SARS shelter they put up in Montreal instead of an Ex-pos game? :D

I'm happy for the Expos. I would go if 1) I lived in Canada or 2) they had "Free Sars Mask" night.

They were having a free hotdog promotion, if that many fans go to a game for hot dogs, than that's pretty messed up...

let me tell you, it takes hot-dogs and discount tickets to bring fan to the stadium in Montreal...

From the AP recap:

"Wil Cordero hit Montreal's fifth game-ending homer of the season as the Expos beat the Philadelphia Phillies 3-2 Saturday night before 33,236 fans, the largest non-opening day crowd at Olympic Stadium in six years.

Cordero brought the crowd -- drawn mostly by discount tickets and a hot dogs promotion -- out of their seats when he led off the bottom of the ninth inning with his fourth homer, connecting against Carlos Silva (3-1). "

Very sad indeed... :(
