OOTP 20 Challenge - Draft Underway in Dynasty Thread
 

I have a copy of Kingdom Come: Deliverance up as a prize for an OOTP 20 league challenge.

I'm going to top the league off at 16 teams (if we get that many interested).

Will only run it if we get at least 10. If not at least that number I'll come up with another contest.


The rules:
- Abbreviated season (2 games against each team in the league; 1 home and 1 away).
- 2 games per week of game time (A Friday game and a Sunday game - game time)
- 18 player rosters; DH will be used
- Players can be drafted from any season, ever. But, once a player is drafted that player cannot be drafted by another player. (Example: If 1980 Mike Schmidt is drafted, no other season of his can be used)
- Max of 1 player from each MLB team on a team in the league (example: If you drafted 1980 Mike Schmidt you cannot draft another Phillies' player)
- There will be conversion penalties for players with minimal time during the selected season (in other words, don't draft someone who hit .390 in a whopping 10 games, they won't be a star)
- The top 2 teams will play a best of 3 series with every game being at the #1 seed's stadium
- No trading, just pick your best 18 players for this league, set your lineups and let the game do the rest.
- The draft will be an 18 round snake draft with the original order determined by a random draw.
- Sim schedule and other rules will be posted as interest is determined

For anyone that either has or doesn't want the game but may be interested in the concept of the "league" if you win you'll get the choice of getting the key to give to someone or just passing, in which case the next person in the standings will get the option.

I'll join since RL just got quiet for the next 2 months.

With teams that moved (especially ones that may have moved a few times and changed names in the process), do we need to know the entire franchise line to determine what players will be unavailable after a pick?

Also, with limited games a week, any restrictions on how often a pitcher can start?

For the obvious ones we'll limit it to franchise. (Dodgers, Giants, Braves)

Aiming for a 2 man rotation. Going to make it a "weekend" league with Friday/Sunday games.

If we don't get a 10th and if it is okay with everyone else in the league I'll take the 10th team. If so I'll follow the same rules as everyone else with no input during the sims (only lineup changes during the same open periods as everyone else).

Additionally, my standing wouldn't count towards the prize standing. If there is a way to remove myself from the playoffs manually I will do so. If not I will run a 3 game playoff manually with the top 2 teams other than my team.

That's weird. When pasting the thread into the new post it picked up the name of the thread from the Dynasty section. When I edited the first post in this thread and copied the exact same way it only shows the thread address in the post.
