OT - 20 Questions (Hockey Edition #1)
I'm thinking of a journeyman player who played ten years in the league and was the beneficiary of being traded at the deadline to the eventual Stanley Cup Champions.
I don't know everything about this player so I won't count any questions I can't answer. |
Am I a defenseman?
No. 19 left.
Did I win the cup with a Canadian team?
Yes. 18 left.
Are you a European?
No. 17 left.
Was the Stanley Cup Champions you were traded to the Montreal Canadians?
No. 16 left.
Was it the Calgary Flames?
Yes. 15 left.
Were you traded from a team that no longer exists (i.e. a team that has moved)?
Good question and tough to answer with a yes or no...
I'll have to say yes, not 100% yes, but yes is more correct than no. 14 left. |
Was the team you were traded FROM a Canadian team?
No. 13 left.
Did he play collegiate hockey in the states?
Yes. 12 left.
Nevermind
Are you Brian MacLellan?
:) That was my guess...
:D
Well, we'll see if it's it (I'm fairly sure it is). |
Bingo. Well done.
He was traded from the Minnesota North Stars for Perry Berezan. He only amassed 5 points during the Stanley Cup run but did go on to play two more years in Calgary. Perry is a local guy and is still shocked he was traded away from a Stanley Cup team. Brian was a big but slow left winger while Perry was a speedy centerman who could chip in on the PK and was a good checker. Cliff Fletcher simply wanted more size up front for the stretch drive. |
