Happy's Weekly Poll: Which MSNBC Show goes next ?

Managing a News Network like a Sports Team

It's summer time and at around this time of year, tv shows are killing off characters because their actor or actress couldnt agree on the contract terms. I'm pretty sure you know what that means ! It's time for MSNBC to do some spring cleaning with their TV shows and ultimately demolish the ones that are doing terrible. Now, I know MSNBC might or might not cancel these shows but statistically, they're always right on the money during this time of year.

MSNBC's "Scarborough Country" hosted by former Congressman Joe Scarborough (R) Florida is MSNBC's answer to Bill O'Reilly. Yes, Joe Scarborough is doing a better job than his predeccesor Alan Keyes, but he wont be any more aggressive than O'Reilly is. And that's why his job maybe in jeopardy.

Hardball doesn't look like it's going to go anytime soon despite the not uncommon absence of host Chris Matthews. Hardball has been the longest running out of all these shows.

Buchanan and Press doesn't look like it's going to go south either because it has two of the largest extremists on both sides of the political fence and makes for an exciting debate.

Who's going to get axed? Only time will tell....

They should bring back Donahue...so they can cancel him again.

Anyone else think Donahue was off the UIC scale. I could have imagined Will Ferrel doing his Harry Carry impression, just changing accents for Donahue.

While I couldn't watch the Donahue show because it bored the shiat out of me, it is funny that Donahue's rating were typically better than Matthews and Scarborough.

Scarborough Country should be axed . An O'Reilly wanna bee he is ...though h seems like a nice guy and all ....not like O'Reilly who is real evil .

Mantle2600 05-30-2003 01:37 AM

Did someone say porn?

CHEMICAL SOLDIER 05-30-2003 01:39 AM

Mmmm....Porn!!!

Happy29 05-30-2003 06:46 PM

CHEMICAL, it's probably not in MSNBC's best interest to axe Scarborough's show, well it's not the best show out there I gotta admit. Why? Well, he's a rightie. MSNBC and CNN are way off of the pace and behind ratings and that's why they're trying to hire more Conservatives like Scarborough and O'Reilly to combat FOX news. Doesn't look like we'll see a liberal or a moderate in MSNBC anytime soon.

They should cancel the Abrams Report and let him do 5 minute increments every few hours. Its tough to listen to him for an extended period of time.

Happy29 05-30-2003 07:12 PM

They did cancel the Abrams Report.

bosshogg23 05-30-2003 07:26 PM

When did they do that? About time anyways....

Since they cant cancel an already cancelled show, they should cancel Scarborough Country. But I do like the promos with Chris Matthews when he promotes the show. You can see him clenching his teeth the whole time.
