OT: LCD Cleaning
How should I clean my LCD computer monitor? Is there anything I can do?
|
You can clean it with some water mixed with vinegar. Dont use something like alchohol or ammonia based product. It can damage the plasitc screen and lead to stress cracks.
Someone else recomends a product like endust for electronics. or Klear screen |
You know what pisses me off? People that touch screens with their fingers. I worked at an Office Depot for about 1.5 years selling electronics. Screen touchers never bothered me there. When I would be out of the work environment, at school (lots of computers for recording) it would piss me off! I go to my in laws house and use their dell with a pretty nice 19 " Trinitron...It looks like a 3 year old ate off it, and the youngest in the house is 23! My wife has these issues with people as well. She says that old people tend to touch screens a lot. You can't explain things to old people, because they are old.
Which leads me to your question. For my 2 laptops, I use a spray cleaner and a lint free cloth. I have noticed that finger prints can stay on a laptop screen for months (cause of the sweat or something). For reasons stated above, you should not use alcohol. Have fun, and stay away from old people! |

I don't know what exactly the site is that you've posted a link for or how legit it is (maybe it's a joke), but a 1.6 MB flash intro? Are they serious? |
I use sandpaper but I hope to stop since it scratches the screen.
|
:) ...but seriously I use Endust.
