Strange quirk

I came here today by my usual (old) link, read & posted like normal. Thought it was odd that I didn't have an Edit option on my post cause I was gonna add something.

Posted something else and THEN noticed that I wasn't logged in ... yet I posted several times under my usual handle etc

Yeah, I'm getting the same results (or lack thereof) using the old and new links.

And the Operation Sports site and forums seem to run just fine. I don't really think it's bot-related as those numbers have been even greater in the past. I wonder if the vBulletin database is hosed up or something

Haven't had much success getting on this site in the past several days. Hit and miss just to get the forum up, but posting is another challenge.

And weirdly (I guess) I didn't have problems Sat or Sun, which I gather other people did ... but then I had issues earlier today, until now basically.

I need somebody with some ability and control to fix this already!

Traffic is low enough these days that these technical issues could cost us a few posters that we can't afford to lose.

welp. I was doing some work on my dynasty in the middle of the night last night and while editing a post, the site problems caused me to lose it all.

are there any admins that can see if they can find my post?

I don't post much any more, but still like to check the board for any potential game news / updates.

It definitely seems to be down as much as online - Intake it the mods (if there still are any) are onto the hosts to try and resolve?

I got on once all day yesterday and when I got into a thread - which was a minor miracle on its own - it timed out when I tried to post. For whatever reason, I'm having much better luck on my phone than either of my computers.

Early mornings seem to be better for posting.

Quick sanity check (while I'm in) - I haven't been able to even get the main forum up on my computer since early yesterday. I'm even getting directed to some FOFC file directory.

Is there any kind of contigency plan for a full/prolonged outage? Is there anything we can do to move this board and take it over on our own?

If i visit this place ten times in a day, I will be able to view/post about twice. I’m still not super convinced it is a host issue, but it is hard to hypothesize without access and logs. I am no vBulletin expert but my gut tells me its something to do with it or the database it uses. Maybe it needs maintenance done or an upgrade, I dont know. With the amount of issues we have had with big threads in the past it just seems like a likely culprit

Reddit or Discord but I think both of those have been tried and neither took off so I really don’t know what the solution is. I assume that hosting this isn’t free and I imagine whatever fix it needs probably isn’t free either so I don’t expect a fix to be incoming but I would like to wrong on this one.

We should probably get this stickied. I finally changed the link in my browser today, and had to scroll to find this thread. Old one worked enough that I was being too sentimental about the hyperlink.
