I think the reason he is portrayed as a jerk is not because the game has suffered inmnumerable delays and proken promises of release - which IMO is plenty reason to be qualified as a jerk.
He's a jerk because of the way he shat all over text-sims and the people who liked them. I do not have the links to his exact posts, but it is safe to say that his reputation as a jerk was well-earned by the FOFC community and that, I believe, is the prevailing reason why so many of us take so much pleasure watching the jerk fall on his face over and over again.
