He's delusional that all answers will be revealed. What's up with the cable coming from the ocean? Who's whispering? Who were those people in raggedy clothes walking around the jungle (a second group of others?)? Is Jack's dad alive? What's the purpose of the hatch?
I'm sure there are many more unanswered questions from the 1st season.
