Wildcard Game

New York Giants (9-7) at Chicago Bears (11-5)

1st Half

We start off the game with a long pass from Manning to Burress that gets us 36 yards and to midfield. We then methodically drive the ball from the 50 down to the 1 where Brandon Jacobs pounds it in for the touchdown.

We hold them to 3 and out and get the ball back. On the second play, Manning throws a pick. They start off with great field position and drive for the touchdown to tie the game. Muhsin Muhammad caught the pass, and fumbled the ball near the end zone. He recovered the ball and ran it in for the score.

We get the ball out to midfield where Manning throws another pick. They get it down to our 23 yardline where our defense holds strong. They kick the FG to get the 10-7 lead shortly after the start of the 2nd quarter.

We exchange 3 and outs until about 9 minutes left in the half. On 3rd and long, Madison intercepts the pass from Griese. But on our drive, Manning throws his 3rd pick on the 2nd play. Our defense holds strong though.

On the last drive of the half, we get within FG range, but Manning was hurt on the drive and came out of the game. We get to the 25, but get called for a false start, putting us at the 30. Feely misses the FG.

Half Time: Chicago leads 10-7

3rd Quarter

Our defense holds them on their first drive. We come out and get to near midfield, but a penalty and a sack puts us in a hole and end up with 4th-22. We punt, but they take the return to the house and go up 17-7.

We go 3 and out on the next drive, but this time the fumble the return and we recover. Get inside the 10 yard line, but we stall at the 6 and kick the easy FG to make it 17-10.

On Chicago's next drive, Torbor comes up with a pick giving us great field position. We can't move the ball at all and Feely makes the long FG try to put it at 17-13 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

4th Quarter

Chicago goes on a very long drive, but our D holds them up at the 12 yardline. The kick the FG and it's good but we get called for roughing the kicker . 3 plays later, they get the touchdown and go up 24-13.

We exchange a few punts. With 2:46 left to go, they punt the ball to the 1 yard line where, for whatever reason, our returner decides to field it and bring it out to the 6 yard line where he is tackled. Ugh. We get called for a penalty and it comes back to the 2 yardline. Double Ugh.

We don't go far, and they get the ball back with a 1:30 left. We use our timeouts to force them into 4th down where they kick the FG.

Final Score: 27-13 Chicago wins
