Today started out lousy. I woke up with a nasty migraine. I took some meds but they seemed to do little. Soon Ramesh showed up with tea and the paper so I had some tea to see of the caffein would help the headache.

It did little but I had plenty to do at work so I forced myself to get ready for work. As I went through my routine of preparing everything I noticed that I had no bath towl (good thing I force myself to be anal about getting ready while here). I called Ramesh and a towel was brought up with an apology (none needed, these things happen).

After getting ready it was almost time for the driver to arrive and Viswa came up to ask if I wanted to eat breakfast. He said breakfast ham was on the menu so I asked if I could just get those sandwiches he made before and I would eat them at work. He gladly agreed.

The way to work was very long as our shortcut is still blocked and then we had a flat tire. Glad to see that dark cloud followed me over here . IT turns out there is some religious figure in town until next week and that is causing the streets being locked down.

Work went relatively well. I accomplished some but got a little fed up with things still remaining out of my control. I am supposed to be running this project but decisions keep getting made and enacted upon by others in power and I only find out after those decisions go wrong.

Today's example is something about a deadline that "we" promised that may not be met for tomorrow. Since this is the first I heard about it, I don't know where the "we" comes from. It always seems that once I feel like we are making good progress on something that some out of the blue deadline gets fabricated that we suddenly missed. I included my displeasure with this within my daily status report today, we'll see where that goes.

India played West Indies in another cricket match today. The match started in the afternoon and was being shown on the screen in the lobby. Unlike last time I was here and India was playing when the crowd in the lobby got quite loud and excited about the game, there was no noise at all this time.

I took a walk out later and saw why, they had a very low score and it didn't look good (more on that later). They were 90 for 7 after all, 90 for 7!!! Extra credit if you know what that means (and it's overall significance).

The ride back to the house took a while and when I arrived I found the Bangalore trio watching the match on the television downstairs. That was a new development as they couldn't get it downstairs on Sunday and I told them they could watch on my television if they couldn't get it today but looks like they can (they are playing the matches on a different network now and there was a huge outcry in the area about people not being able to see the matches).

Dinner was some sort of chicken soup (was good), fried chicken, diced potatoes and some rice. Everything was very good, I may see if he knows mached potatoes (I love them and miss having them once in a while).

After dinner I had to make some calls for work. I put the game on and took care of a little work. At that point there was a knock on the door and it was Viswa. He asked if I could send an email for him. It turns out he wanted to send out his resume so I helped him with that. I wished him well and told him that I hope he gets it if it's something he really wanted (though I would miss him and his cooking if he gets it before I leave).

Soon the whole group was upstairs watching the match (as it turns out whatever channel they could get it on downstairs was a major delay). The match ended up being a very low scoring match and India pulled it out thanks to great bowling and a very nice performance by the bottom of their lineup. They were all pumped up about the win.

I was also handed a package that came in the mail. My sister had emailed me a paper from back home, that will be nice to look over (even though it has to be the one following the Eagles loss ).

After the match I took sime time to explain what I knew about a casino and it's terminology to one of the guys from Bangalore (I hate that I cannot remember all their names but I have a major mental block with Indian pronunciations). After we talked for a while it was time for me to head back to my room, talk to the family and post my last couple of days.

Going to watch Friends and get ready for bed.

Have a good night all!!!!!
