2008 Season Start

This will be the last season for some of our players.

Joe Coffin, WR - Miami

Joe is clearly Miami's best receiver, scouted 88/100, but for one reason or another he has yet to make a really huge impact. If he can stay healthy this year hopefully he can rack up the yards. Unfortunately Miami doesn't have a solid QB this year, so this will hurt him.

Antoine Syvrud, DE - Texas

Antoine is scouted at 79/84 and will hopefully continue his dominant play.

Erik Quinones, RB – Texas A&M

This will be Erik's last year in college and he's hoping to make it a good one.

Kevin Linquist, RB – Georgia Tech

It's Kevin's senior year and he's ready to go, and will try to top last year's standout performance.

Lamont Nowell, QB – Texas

Lamont will struggle to get any starting time this year. Our scout puts him at 30/57, and he's competing against several players with higher upside. I guess we'll see.

2008 Season End

Joe Coffin, WR - Miami

Joe had his best year yet this year, and really showed some of the talent he so obviously has. He ended up with 57 catches for 900 yards and 5 touchdowns. Still his counterpart Heath Givens had a much better year, with 90 catches for 1334 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Antoine Syvrud, DE - Texas

Antoine continued his excellent play this year, racking up 14 sacks, 61 tackles, and 25 assists. He was again named B12 1st Team Defensive End, an award he seems to have locked up every year.

Erik Quinones, RB – Texas A&M

Erik had a good senior year, and not a great one, mostly because he shared a substantial amount of carries with the backup RB Harris Grimm. Erik ended up with 251 carries for 1259 yards, and 7 touchdowns. Grimm got 113 carries for 570 yards and 6 scores. Still, Erik has to be pretty happy with his college career, and is looking forward to the pros.

Kevin Linquist, RB – Georgia Tech

Kevin finished off his senior year with another good performance, though just as in 2006, injuries limited his playing time, to just 9 games. He ended up with 213 carries for 1069 yards, and 9 touchdowns. He added 31 catches for 312 yards and 3 touchdowns receiving.

Lamont Nowell, QB – Texas

Lamont was the backup this year, and completed 3 of 5 passes for 43 yards, with an interception. Clearly he's just not developed enough to get the starting job.
