Speaking of Candian accents, one of the most bizzare sporting-related television events I can ever re-call watching was some snowboarding, half-pike Olympic event back in 1998.

I was watching CBC's coverage and they had some guy doing the commentary. He had this incredibly thick Canadian accent, but kept using all of the snowboarding lingo. It was very, very odd...
