2026 Offseason

Despite a lack of postseason success, we still get a nice prestige jump from 74->78. Our AD still expects us to compete for the conference championship and is still delighted with us.

Also we get a message that the school has decided to upgrade the training facilities for us. Two years in a row, that'll be very nice. The improvement we got last year takes our trianing facilities up to 66, rated 6th in the ACC.

Coaching Skill Increase

I get another bump and am now a level 7 coach. I put 5 points in recruiting, 10 in scouting, and 5 in offense. My talents are now 55 offense/30 recruiting/55 offense/100 defense.

Incoming Recruits

Georgia Tech has the #71 recruiting class in the nation this year. This is 6th in the ACC. Wake has the #2 class, FSU 12, Duke #14.

Code:

This is about what we expected based on scouting, I was hoping the PRD would stay a C, but, you can't have everything.

Code:
PLAYER DETAILS #0 PG Carl Fritts - Georgia Tech - Freshman -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Height: 5'11" Weight: 157 High School: Blacksburg High School Hometown: Blacksburg, SC Attributes: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Type INS JPS FTS 3PS HND PAS ORB DRB PSD PRD STL BLK PFS QKN STR JMP STA -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Current: 64 18 32 48 42 37 8 34 24 28 55 22 35 79 40 70 76 Potential: A D D C C C F C C C B C Health: Good Scholarship: Yes Status: Active Roster Academics: 58 2025 High School: Rated *** and #181 overall by the FBCB scouting service. 2025 High School: All-State (South Carolina)

Fritts also comes in about the same as recruited. A likely backup for most of his career with some better defenders that i've pulled in lately.

Code:
PLAYER DETAILS #40 C William Vargo - Georgia Tech - Freshman -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Height: 6' 9" Weight: 250 High School: R.B. I'm a bit disappoitned that Vargo comes in with a C in INS, but he's still a great rebounder and good shot blocker.

Overall this is a decent class but these guys will probably come off the bench more than they start.

Coaches

We lose our recruiter and scout this year. We pull in an 84 recruiter for $130,000 and a 70 skill scout for $120,000.

Scheduling

We get our first preseason tourney invite, we'll be the 5 seed in the Great Alaska Classic. I consider dropping my scheduling a bit, fearing a dropoff after losing Hunsaker, but decide to keep it the same instead, prestige 25-35 teams.

Training/Budget

We already got an unsolicited training upgrade, and our request for a bigger budget is approved.

How nice is it to be able to choose between Lance Tyler and Mack Martinez to start at SF? I ended up leaning towards tyler b/c he is stronger, quicker, and a better defensive rebounder.

Armijo and Tyler are my only two seniors this year.
