The Devil Wear Prada - 6/10: Decent flick. Hathaway and Streep give great performances, but the movie version (I hear the book is much better) is a bit too predictable. Yes, she first doesn't fit in, then she starts playing the part and getting good at her job, and then... we'll you can easily fill in the rest. A bit formulaic, but saved from below 50% by some great performances.

Thank You for Smoking - 9/10: Wow... just an incredibly well done biting satire. I originally figured it'd skewer the tobacco industry and if it just did that (using the tobacco spokesman as its vehicle), it would have been great, but it doesn't stop there. It goes after anti-tobacco Senators trying to hog the limelight and the press who feeds on the controversy. And the movie was just plain hilarious. What made it funnier was that it was thiiiiis close to real life.
