Today we play 3-5 Princeton. We match up very closely with them as we are both rated 70 overall in team talent.

They are a higher rated shooting team and are rated better offensively. We are rated higher defensively and in rebounding. We also have better team unity.

In the first half, Jeff Spencer has come alive! He's finishing on the fast break with nasty dunks and he has hit 3 of 4 3's! If he can shoot the outside shot like that, he could turn our season around. He is the player of the half with 13 points and 2 boards. We are up 29-26.

Crap. Poor attention to detail might cost me as Lloyd fouls out with 12 minutes to go!

With 2 minutes to go, we were up 54-51. We missed 2 3's but got offensive boards by our big men. However, we finally missed again and they got the ball back and scored to make it 54-53 with 33 seconds left.

They intentionally foul Bakari who misses the FT. Weatherspoon gets the offensive board and is immediately fouled. The big man is a surprisingly good FT shooter, but he misses it. They get a 3 point attempt which they miss and Weatherspoon gets the board and is fouled again. This time he hits the first FT but misses the 2nd. 3 seconds left, we are up by 2.

They miss the desperation 3 and we win 55-53. Bakari Lewis with good defense on that last second shot.

Spencer with a much cooler second half shooting, but he wins player of the game. He finishes with 16 points and 3 boards. He shot 6 of 13 and 4 of 9 from the arc. Bakari Lewis had 10 pints as did Martin. Johnson had 10 boards. Lloyd had 7 points and 7 boards before he fouled out.

Weatherspoon in his first extended action did ok. In 18 minutes he had 1 point, 9 boards, and 1 block. Bose continues to struggle as a SG. He had 2 points, 1 board, and 2 assists, althoug he did hold his man to 2 of 7 shooting. Speaking of good defense, Spencer's man was 3 of 14 from the floor.

That win makes us 3-4 and the improved outside shooting (I have Spencer, Lewis, Bose, and Martin only working on shooting) have me hoping that this season might be salvaged yet.

Dec 15 -

We pull off a bit of an upset win at Louisiana Tech, 75-74. We did it with balanced scoring. Lloyd had 14 points, 6 boards and 3 blocks. Johnson had 12 points and 6 boards. Bose had 11 points. O'Brien had 10 points off th ebench as he hit 2 of 3 3 pointers. Spencer had 4 points and 10 boards.

We are now 4-4.

Next up, we host a team we should blow out. Longwood Lancers are 2-12 and they are only rated 63 oveall. They are a terrible shooting team. They are rated 63 defensively. They are bad at everythng except rebounding which they are rated 77, the same as us.
