I guess the flip side to this is that if the seer is not in danger of getting lynched, and if he hasn't found a wolf, and if the people that are in danger of getting lynched, he might as well see how the vote pans out today, and wait until tomorrow.

I'm not sure how a scenario like that could have actually happened, though.
