Consider me displeased with Del Negro for the Bulls job. I was wary of the years/dollars being thrown at D'Antoni, as I thought there was a pretty good chance we would learn Nash made him (not the other way around). I was pretty OK with the Collins hiring, although anyone who thought about it hard realized this was not a 4-5 year solution. But bringing in a guy with zero coaching experience just doesn't seem like the right play given the way this team treated Boylan last season.
I'll be an interested observer, but I really think that the bizarre Paxson/Reinsdorf seven-week coaching search has been a disaster. The roster has some pieces with value. The team has the #1 pick in the draft. A good GM + coach should be able to make a 15-20 win jump next season in the East (33-49 this season) but I don't think the Bulls have that combo.
