You aren't missing much on the demo. I've played it on the PS3. It's just preparation for a game. You don't get to do a free agent period or any drafting. Those were the main things I was hoping to try out with a demo. But what is in the demo doesn't disuade me at all from buying the game.

Not quite correct sir. You play the first game of the season against the Bears too. And, while you can't do the offseason free agency, you can go and see what that is like and be able to see how the trading works. In the one demo game I played, the Bears signed Anthony Wright and started him at QB and signed Shaun Alexander to be the HB.
