Sabres won three straight, are back in 8th in the conference.
Vanek added two goals (and they were rather nice-looking ones) to his lead-leading 22 goals. He is starting to become an elite player (he's had 126 goals so far in 3 1/4 seasons). He's just isn't flashy or pretty like Crosby or Oveckin.
