Hockey Operations Intern (Spring 2009) - Tampa Bay Lightning (Tampa, FL)
 The Hockey Operations Intern will work with the Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations, Assistant General Managers and Hockey Operations Coordinator. The internship will provide an in depth look as to what is involved in running a professional hockey team as well a chance to actively contribute and be a part of the organization and its culture.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Research and design player statistic spreadsheets
- Review and update current NHL and AHL depth charts and monitor trade/assignments
- Develop new systems for analyzing past player performance and trends
- Work with coaching and training staff on an as needed and directed basis
- Coordinate with organization’s scouts on communication and reporting systems
- Assist with general operations of the team’s AHL affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals.
REQUIREMENTS:
Full or part-time (minimum 20 hours per week) will be considered. Ability to work game-nights as requested. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required. Must be available to start in early January.
