Miami OH 74, Ohio 69

We lose our last game at home against an inferior team, I'm a bit suprised to see that, but its a reminder that we're just an average team.

We finish 8-8, which is excellent after a 3-5 start to conference play.

2012 MAC Final Standings

1. Western Michigan 12-4
2. Ball State 12-4
3. Toledo 11-5
4. Kent State 10-6
5. Ohio 8-8
6. Buffalo 8-8
7. Bowling Green 7-9
8. Akron 7-9
9. N. Illinois 7-9
10. Miami OH 7-9
11. Central Michigan 6-10
12. Eastern Michigan 1-15

Well, if we can't finish in the top 4 and get a bye in the first round of the conference tourney, we can at least finish 5th and get 1-15 Eastern Michigan in round 1.

The MAC is down quite a bit this year. None of our teams are in the top 100 in the RPI. Kent State is #24 in the mid-major poll, the only MAC team to be found there at 17-11 overall. Western michigan, our top seed in the conference tourney, is rated a 14 seed in bracketology.

The MAC as a whole has the #19 conference RPI, which is the worst rated mid-major conference and is actually behind 3 small conferences.
