Ohio (20-5, 9-4 MAC) at Akron (14-11, 7-6 MAC)

We suffered a very unexpected loss at the hands of Akron at home earlier in the year. They are rated 70 OVR currently (70 off/70 def/71 sht/78 reb). I say currently because I'm 90% sure they were rated higher earlier.

WOW. Akron is decimated. 7'2” starting center – Out, 68 rated SG – out, 66 rated SG – out.

Scouting

PG Toby Warner – FR – 73 OVR – A very solid looking freshman, will be one of the best players in the league later if he develops well. 94 speed/87 quickness, 82 defense, 82 close/73 med/75 3, 80 off the dribble. 82 handling/84 passing, that's one of the higher passing ratings I've seen. Warner will be a beast if his primary ratings develop enough to get him upwards of 77-78 OVR as a senior. 6.9 ppg as a freshman.

SG Darien Guinn – JR – 69 OVR – Solid defense 84, average shooter, 81 close/66 med/70 3. 82 off the dribble, A- and outstanding. A natural PG. Only 4.8 ppg this year.

SF Damond Boone – SO – 57 OVR – Bad, like you'd expect someone rated 57 OVR to be. Also a natural SG, but not any quicker than House.

PF Bryan Delgado – SR - 56 OVR – A natural SF, 6'6, rebound and post numbers in the mid 60s. Awful.

C Lanny Gordon – JR – 69 OVR – 6'9” but he's also a natural SF, which means his post numbers are going to trend way lower. Nothing above 70 in the post or on the boards.

Sucks to have this kind of injury troubles. I'm going to go get revenge for their victory against us earlier this year just the same.

We start off poorly, falling behind 10-7, but score 9 straight and have a handle on things now. Cooper has two very stupid fouls, he'll stay in until/unless he gets a 3rd though.

Keller is a foul machine... he has 3 already.

We've only drawn 3 fouls on Arkon today so far, but 2 of them are on their talented PG Warner, he's sitting. Another timeout Akron.

Starters are back in, and in this instance the backups decidedly did not outperform the starters.

That's better. We score the last 15 of the half and take the big lead we expected. Wendell House took over the game in the final 5 mintues.

House has 12 at the half, Murphy 10, Cooper 8, Lamkin 9. We're shooting an outstanding 24-35, and holding Akron to 11-32 from the field

We build our lead up to 30 with 14 minutes to go and sim it the rest of the way.

Ohio 98
Akron 58

Murphy: 16 points/6 assists
Cooper: 8 points
House: 24 points
Delic: 12 points/14 boards
Sessoms: 9 points/5 boards

Lamkin: 15 points
Lufkin: 7

House was huge today, just too fast and too strong and too athletic for anyone they would put on him.
