MAC Preview

We opened last year rated 84 OVR and improved to 85 during the year.

1. Ohio 85
2. Kent State 77
3. Bowling Green 77
4. Miami OH 76
5. Akron 76
6. Ball State 75
7. Eastern Michigan 74
8. Toledo 73
9. Western Michigan 73
10. Buffalo 72
11. Central Michigan 72
12. N. Illinois 68

Wow. The MAC graduted so much talent last year, 6 or 7 players rated over 80 OVR. This year I only see 3 players in the entire league rated 80 or above, and 2 of them are on my team. Bowling Green's talented Center, Whitehead is the other. In fact in the entire league outside of Ohio there are only about 4 guys rated above 75 OVR.

MAC Preseason Recognition

Best Overall Player: Lloyd Bright - Ohio - SR - 82 OVR
Best Freshman: Quincy Jimenez - Ohio - FR - 76 OVR
Best Shooter: John McCully - Ohio - SO - 77 OVR
Best Playmaker: Javier Santos - Ohio - FR - 71 OVR
Best Pro Prospect: Ferdinand Whitehead - Bowling Green - SR - 80 OVR
Best Defender: Ferdinand Whitehead - Bowling Green - SR - 80 OVR

McCully's mid-range 89 rating, in close 80 rating likely outweigh his 73 3 point shot when looking at best shooter.

Santos has an 84 passer rating which is exceptional, but not enough by itself to keep the redshirt off him.

I may sim out as much as 2/3 of my game this year. We're going to destroy this conference. We'll probably find a mystical way to lose to Ball State, and I'll play the better teams in the league, all of the better rated teams and if any lower rated teams show up with solid winning records... but I think its likely best to breeze through this season faster than normal(even for me) instead of playing out a ton of games against mediocre teams.
