My wife's take pretty much exactly. She's about ready to give up on the show at this point, which is a pretty dramatic drop in interest since it was one of a very small number of scripted shows she treated as appointment viewing (or watches period for that matter)
Reminds me of what happened with
MI-5, which totally lost me as they abandoned the original cast, went from can't miss to why bother.
