Good and bad news for LFC today. Good news was that both Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres were selected in the English Premier Division Team of the Week first eleven after excellent performances in the weekend’s game.

The bad news was that Milan Badelj's proposed move to Liverpool has been cancelled after the appeal for a work permit was turned down.
LFC now got less then 48hrs if they wants to improve there roster before the transfer window closes. Manager Tom Northwood currently got £8.7mil in available transfer founds.

After a busy day yesterday for the front office with several telephones to different clubs around the world LFC still came up empty handed.

If they didn’t manage to secure any new players the team did win some prices for the nice play in august.
Liverpool's Gerrard scoops Player of the Month award after he wowed the fans at Anfield this month with some outstanding performances. The world-class midfielder has looked in great shape, bagging a remarkable five goals in only four appearances for his club last month.
With not much to choose between the top three, West Ham's Robert Green took second place and Joe Cole of Chelsea came third.

But a lot more surprising was that Liverpool's rookie GM Tom Northwood has won the English Premier Division Manager of the Month award. The award panel made their decision after the Reds boss guided his team to victory in all four of their league games this month.

(PRM) Liverpool 2 - 0 Portsmouth (15th Aug)
(PRM) Liverpool 3 - 1 West Ham (18th Aug)
(PRM) Liverpool 2 - 0 Blackburn (22nd Aug)
(PRM) Liverpool 3 - 0 Birmingham (29th Aug)

With not much to choose between the top three, Wigan's Roberto Martínez took second place and Carlo Ancelotti of Chelsea came third.

Liverpool will now just hope that the current tam can stay healthy but with the upcoming program the team might be inn for some trouble.
