Football enthusiasts looking to the English FA Cup Fifth Round for potential upsets were left empty-handed as there were none to be found in yesterday’s matches. Chelsea overcame Wolves in a result which reflected the general theme of the round. Manchester United are also through to the Sixth Round as they beat Premier Division team Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park. Elsewhere, there were wins for Fulham, Arsenal, Wigan Athletic and Liverpool.

A display of attacking football saw Nikola Saric pick up the man of the match award during Liverpool's 3 - 1 English FA Cup Fifth Round victory over Bristol City yesterday afternoon.
Saric had the quality to put the Bristol City defence to the sword and finished the match with two goals. Saric, 19, arrived at Anfield from Danish club HB Køge for a fee of £900K in 2008. This was Nikola Sarics first ever game on the first team and it left a lot of people excited to what to expect from the young player in the future.

Liverpool's Philipp Degen has returned to full training. The twenty-six year old right-back had been out of contention for 3 weeks following a thigh injury. The ex-Dortmund player signed for league leaders Liverpool on a free transfer in 2008.

Portsmouth takeover on the rocks. Discussions regarding Portsmouth's takeover are rumoured to be going badly. According to skysports.com, talks between Portsmouth chairman Sulaiman Al-Fahim and director Peter Storrie have run into difficulties over the valuation of the club.
