2003 Season, Week 15
Green Bay (10-3) at Detroit (3-10) (+12)

Green Bay pounded us 34-10 at their place Week 6. Expect more of the same this week.

1st Quarter

All is quiet in the first quarter, both teams have a few big plays but neither can mount a significant drive.

Detroit 0, Green Bay 0

2nd Quarter

The Packers start the 2nd with a nice drive, which included a 21-yard pass play from Favre to Walker. They have to settle for a 43-yard field goal from Longwell. We respond with a nice drive ourselves, a 27-yard pass play from Batch to Ricks sets up a 22-yard field goal by Hanson. Things starting to open up for the Packers offense and they are able to get in the end zone on a 13-yard pass play but its called back for holding and they have to settle for a 25-yard field goal by Longwell.

Green Bay 6, Detroit 3

3rd Quarter

Halfway through the quarter the Packers get a 52-yard field goal by Longwell to increase their lead to 9-3. A big kickoff return by Jenkins sets up a 41-yard field goal by Hanson and we cut the lead back to 3. As the quarter ends we are driving and just crossed midfield.

Green Bay 9, Detroit 6

4th Quarter

We get stuffed on a 3rd and 1 from their 19, but get a 36-yard field goal by Hanson to tie it up. Later in the quarter Batch is intercepted by Darren Sharper at our 29. Four plays later Favre hits Walker for a 16-yard touchdown! Three plays into our next drive and Batch is intercepted by Jue at our 41. They add another field goal by Longwell. We get the ball back with 4:44 to play, we turn the ball over on downs with 2:40 left and they are able to run out the clock.

Green Bay 19, Detroit 9

Mike Anderson was effective again with 71 yards on 18 carries but Batch's meltdown in the fourth cost us. Batch ended the game 14 of 29 for 115 yards with 2 interceptions. Ricks continues to play well, he had 6 catches for 61 yards. Ahman Green had 69 yards rushing and 98 yards receiving for Player of the Game honors.

That will be it for Batch, we are ready to look at our other options. He finishes the year 200 of 352 (57%) for 2,122 yards with 7 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. Harrington will get the start next week and Henson in week 17.
