Detroit (4-5) at Minnesota (7-2)
* Vikings are favored by 9.

1st Quarter

Both teams start the game with three and outs then the Vikings get a 22-yard field goal by Wade Richey, which was set up by a 23-yard pass from Culpepper to James Thrash. Our next drive we get a nice drive but have to punt from their 39 and we pin them deep. At the end of the quarter we have the ball 1st and 10 near midfield.

Vikings 3, Lions 0

2nd Quarter

After a holding penalty put us in a 3rd and 13 situation, Manning hits Jerome Pathon for a 24-yard touchdown! Later in the quarter the Vikings start going after our secondary and Culpepper finds Moss for an 11-yard touchdown with 2:24 left in the half. The rest of the half is quiet.

Vikings 10, Lions 7

3rd Quarter

Manning and the offense can't seem to find any consistency but luckily our defense is playing pretty well. The quarter ends while the Vikings are in the midst of a 8 minute and counting drive, they have 1st and goal at our 8.

Vikings 10, Lions 7

4th Quarter

Our defense finally comes up with a stop and they have to settle for a 20-yard field goal by Richey. On our next drive Manning hits Fitzgerald for a 42-yard gain then later hits McCareins for a 12-yard touchdown! We force a punt but then on our next drive Fitzgerald fumbles and they recover at our 40 with 5:09 left. Our defense once again comes up with a goal line stand and they have to settle for a 19-yard field goal by Richey at the two minute warning.

We get the ball at their 27 to start, on the first play Manning hits Fitzgerald for 22-yard gain and Minnesota is called for roughing the passer too! We now have the ball at their 36 with 1:35 left. Manning then hits Clark for a 9-yard gain, then Manning hits McCareins for a 14-yard gain and we call a timeout. Its now 1st and 10 at their 13 with 1:08 left. Manning hits Pathon for a 10-yard gain, then Jackson loses 1 yard and then Manning hits Clark for a 4-yard touchdown pass with 0:39 left!!! Culpepper hits Moss for 21 yards but that is all they can do!

Lions 21, Vikings 16

Manning and the offense was pretty silent all day until it mattered. We managed just 287 yards on the day, 168 yards were in the 4th quarter. Manning was 27 of 34 for 222 yards with 3 touchdowns. McCareins was his favorite target, he had 55 yards on 8 catches. Our running game was pretty quiet, we had just 65 yards on the ground.
