Everybody is all agog at Heyward's first AB homer but it's hard not to think back to one year ago when Jordan Shafer became the 99th player to homer on his first ML AB and was back in the minors with a .204 average by the first week of June.
I can't help but think the Braves might be the first/only team to have players get first AB homers in consecutive years, certainly first on opening day.
