Ah. Without any inside information, but know Lew as I do I honestly believe it's an actual resignation. Lew has talked about retiring before and with the recent extortion and blackmail garbage you can tell they took a toll on him in his press conferences. I think he wants to stay around long enough to clean up the ticket office and find KU a conference thus leaving his successor with something.
