The other thing that seemed odd, if you have a guy that you are playing strictly due to his pace, why not lay out some through balls for him, or play wider to allow for some more crosses for him.

they tried. england was having none of it.
glad to see they were moving donovan around on the wings but as the commentators mentioned it would have been nice to see him more in the center.
overall it was a very solid performance imo.
