My advice? Go anyway. If nothing else you'll see evidence that you're definitely not alone. Hell, I was probably at or under the median age of the crowd for Scorps/Ratt and wasn't really out of the norm at Metallica a couple of years ago either.
Sounds to me like you need to rethink your circle of friends
