Plus, if you really want to read into it a bit more, I am a Chicago White Sox fan and they are commonly known as the Southsiders. It's also, at least for me, a play off that.
I took my love for the White Sox, left handed pitchers and MMA to come up with the Southpaws to represent it all.

I knew the White Sox reference for sure (being in Chicago and all) but it's cool to learn the rest. I'm intrigued by MMA but know very little about it. Sounds like a perfect name for you guys though!
