For those who have been here, the Don Holt is the bridge across the Cooper River heading from I-26 to the Sullivan's/Isle Of Palm/Mt. Pleasant area. It spans quite some distance, and is probably 80 feet or so above the water. Makes complete sense that it would be one of the first places to ice. But one car at a time??? Why not just close it??? They'll close it when the wind gets over 40mph or so...
