Exactly.
In the first version of the game it was way too easy to redshirt all your freshman every year and get a free year of development from every player you recruit.
Does this version take it too far in the other direction? Maybe just a little bit. I wouldn't mind seeing guys rated 50-100+ agree to redshirt a bit more often, but the more it happens the easier the game gets.
Given a choice between the way the first version and this version operate, I'll take this new version every time.
