Many Korean universities have an unwritten hiring age of 30 or over for hiring anyone: don't miss work from hangovers, don't get arrested for fighting, etc.
An ESL certification, education/English degree, or master's degree gets you higher-paying jobs, but all you have to have is a bachelor's degree.
