The Detroit Lions are offering a second round pick for
Rudi Johnson. It's one that, after some thought, I take, as Johnson got hit with the VSOD, going from 67 to 52. I also feel somewhat safe with
Correll Buckhalter as the starter. What ultimately cinched it was Detroit's probable sucking this year.

Yep. In Leaf we're trusting.
Preseason
Bunch of injuries in our first game.
S Perry Phenix, a great new secondary leader, and
TE Jeff Robinson become stopgap signings.
Yet more injuries in Game 2. So far, a list of the current players Out:
S Rayna Stewart (2 weeks)
DE Jason Taylor (2 weeks)
TE Ed Perry (3 weeks)
RT Korey Stringer (4 weeks)
SLB Derrick Rodgers (9 weeks)
WR Oronde Gadsen is cut along with the official end of
QB Jay Fiedler's era in Miami, a move that sets off a small firestorm of controversy.
Game 3? Yet more injuries. Fucking Hell.
T Richmond Webb - Broken Foot - 9 Weeks and
TE Todd Heap - Severe Hamstring Pull - Out 15 Weeks.
Fortunately enough of our guys get healthy that we don't have to do yet more cutting and signing.
Despite all the injuries, we manage to go 2-2 in preseason play.
