I saw the Pillars of the Earth from Showtime(?)...Am I missing as much as I figure?

I'm adding this all to my wish list, and when my next credit comes up in a week or two, I'll have it all figured out.

Thanks a bunch.

I've always said that the best way to read "The Dark Tower" is:
2->1->3->4->5->6->7

The first book is a really lousy way to get introduced to the series, but if you read the 2nd book first, the first book becomes more tolerable.
