| April 27, 2010 - Sam Houston | | Class: 7 | Distance: 1M | Surface: Dirt | Weather: Cloudy | | Purse: $5,344 | Field: 12 horses | Type: Selling race 2yo and up | | Entry (Jockey) | Linens Flame (Clifton) | Odds: 11-2 | | | | | | | We get stuck at the back again out of the gate, but Linens Flame does a good job fighting her way up begins a run with just over 5 furlongs to go which takes her to 4th place. Clifton is doing a great job with her, but in the end she just can't maintain the pace and she fades to 6th place, just out of the money. Still a good race for the size of the field and the start. Clifton indicates she was ridden in the pack, which seemed to suit her, but she struggle with the pace. Linens Flame now rates at 55 and goes up for auction, but only fetches $4,710. My worst horse, but still a bad return. | | | | | | | |
