Start your own game group!
That is seriously what I did. I kept the flame burning by playing games with the family for a while (parents, brother, sister in law, etc.). Then I mentioned it to similar interest co-workers. Found one who was interested, who introduced me to his college roommate. He knew this other guy, who knew another guy. Long story short, we've got a solid group of about 30 people that come out regularly.
