I remember reading an interview with Dan Reeves a while ago, and he basically conceded that he hadn't done some outlandish things simply because of peer pressure. You do stupid shit and it doesn't work, and you have a hard time finding a job again. If it works, you're a genius, etc.

Seems like there has been a lot more wild experimentation since Belicheck (he's done quite a bit)... but i'm still surprised there isn't more outside the box thinking.
