As far as appeal, it just seems like a fit for me. I'm a big Puerto Rico fan. The game my friends and I play most and seem to enjoy the most is Le Havre. My take on Macao is that it will be significantly lighter than Le Havre, and still bring some interesting mechanics into play. I'm also a big fan of Homesteaders, probably moreso than the rest of my regular gaming friends. Games with economic engines ring our bell so to speak.
