There are a few "monsters" in Martin's books. The Mountain and Joffery are two of the biggest. Rorge and Biter are two others. There are a few others, including probably the worst of the lot really (see spoiler), who have yet to be introduced into the show.

Ramsay Bolton has to be the worst. Worst than Joffery and the Hound. He hunts women for sport among many other horrible things.

I'm wondering where that storyline goes because I don't think it has much to do with the overall story unless Theon becomes very important down the line or something.
