I think I might have relayed this story on here before. For the first presentation, I had a translator, and it was like the UN. People that needed an English-Polish translation had headphones that piped in the translator. Crowd interaction was really good.

The next day, I didn't have a translator. As I was giving the presentation, the crowd sat there stone faced and silent. I figured no one was understanding a word I said. A little bit later, I kept tripping over pronouncing a word, I think it was 'virtualization'. I told the crowd "I apologize for speaking English like President Bush". The previously stone faced and silent crowd burst into laughter. I then realized that they understood English, but just had to concentrate to do the translating themselves.
