This does eliminate New York. Miami could get in at 8-8, but the Jets can not, because Pittsburgh holds the tiebreaker. Since Cincy and Pittsburgh play next week, any 8-8 tie for the second wild-card spot involves both Cincy and Pittsburgh (a tiebreaker Pittsburgh would hold). Miami would get in at 8-8 if it joined them. The AFC playoff picture is about as uncomplicated as I've ever seen with two full weeks remaining.
If Tebow can throw, he's starting next week.
