I don't want to get into an argument or even a prolonged discussion, but I would hope everyone is doing their best to win as many games as possible. I know Portland will be making some moves to try to improve their win total this season. The draft lottery pretty much presents tanking. We didn't implementing it for tanking, but to give non-playoff teams something to look forward.
Anyway, "tanking" in this context isn't the same as tanking. It's rather about making a conscious effort to keep a team together or blowing up a team. That's not tanking, it's smart when it's prudent.
