John Woods moved to the head of the class today as the 24-year-old left fielder for Leduc bagged the Continental League Rookie of the Month trophy for July.

Over that stretch Woods batted .315 with 17 hits in 54 at-bats, collecting 3 home runs, 19 RBIs and 7 runs scored.

This year Woods has hit 8 home runs and posted a .295 batting average.
