Maldonado Takes CL #1 Pitcher Trophy

Javier Maldonado hoisted up the Continental League Pitcher of the Month trophy for May, rumors have already begun to swirl about whether he will leave
Brooklyn once his contract is up at the end of the season.
Maldonado put pressure on the Brownstones to keep him around by posting a 5-0 record and an ERA of 2.76 over 42.1 innings last month. He also rolled up 40 strikeouts, increasing his value both to
Brooklyn and to every other team in the league.

Ann Arbor Winged Lingerines, earning himself the Republic League Pitcher of the Month award.
Murakami racked up a 5-0 record in 6 starts, posting a 1.53 ERA over 47 innings and striking out 29.
Murakami has posted a 7-1 record for the year with a 2.86 ERA. Teams are hitting .248 against him and he has rung up 56 strikeouts in 78.2 innings.
